Senior Resident Medical Officer

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills in the management of critically unwell patients. As a Senior Resident Medical Officer, you will work closely with experienced clinicians and participate in a shift and on-call roster.

* This position is available at our health service, a renowned regional hospital and referral centre. The 520-bed campus features modern facilities and a range of specialist services.
* The successful candidate will work independently in a supervised environment and effectively as part of a team.
* This is an ideal opportunity for trainees wishing to develop a baseline practical skill set for the management of critically unwell patients.

Essential Requirements

* MBBS or equivalent qualification, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Completion of at least two (2) postgraduate years of medical practice
* Valid NSW Working with Children check and National Police check
* To be employed by us, you must take all reasonable care for yourself and others and comply with any reasonable instruction, policies and procedures relating to work health safety and wellbeing


Selection Criteria

* Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
* Successful completion of PGY1 and PGY2 years, including terms in Emergency Medicine and ideally Intensive Care or Anaesthetics
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
* Effective oral, written and computer skills and demonstrated good organisational time management skills
* Evidence of continued professional development and commitment to self-education
