Library is seeking to fill an ongoing Director, Strategy and Architecture (EL2) role within the Digital Branch.
In this role, you will provide strategic technology leadership and governance across the organisation. You will set and maintain the Library’s technology roadmap, lead enterprise and solution architecture, and influence investment decisions to ensure the Library’s technology environment remains contemporary, secure, and fit for purpose. You will also oversee cybersecurity assurance and capability development, UX/UI design, and the Library’s nationally significant web archiving program.
We are seeking a pragmatic and collaborative leader with demonstrated experience in strategic planning and technology roadmap development. You will work closely with colleagues across the Library to translate strategies into actionable plans that support both ongoing operations and long-term sustainability. You can design and implement fit-for-purpose architectures within resourcing constraints and are comfortable working across hybrid environments that include on-premise and cloud infrastructure. Experience with large scale public facing digital services or complex workflow systems is highly desirable.
To succeed in this role, you will require:Enterprise architecture framework and practices or experience as an Enterprise/Solution Architect.At least five years of technology management or team leadership experience, covering applications and infrastructure.Qualifications or equivalent experience in information technology or related field.The ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance (the preferred applicant will be required to undergo the clearance process).
