The Project
Harnessing world-class technologies to offer a safer, cleaner, and more efficient future of mining, the Woodsmith Project is a new polyhalite fertiliser mine being developed in the North-East of England. With sustainability principles at the core of its design, it will set the standard for a new era.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Structural Designer/Drafter to join our project team based in Brisbane.
In this role you will gain valuable experience in the Mining sector, while working with the latest 3D modelling software.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of drafting services to Worley and its customers
- Be involved with the delivery of civil/structural specific drafting services that meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Meet drafting assignments on time and within budget
- Provide support to the civil/structural engineers and project team
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions and ask for assistance when required
- Perform civil/structural specific drafting services
- Identify and report changes to project scope
- Prepare engineering drawings and documentation
- Create drawings and documents in accordance with Worley checking procedures
About you:
- Completed or undertaking an Associate Degree in Engineering
- Relevant work experience
- Developing technical and practical drafting skills in the civil/structural discipline in the same or similar industry
- Developing skills in draft and 3D modelling software
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
