Sharp and Carter has partnered with a leading professional services firm and are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our clients AU operations from their Sydney base. In this standalone role you will own the HR function, partnering closely with senior leaders to elevate people strategies. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, in-depth understanding of Australian employment law, and a track record in stakeholder engagement.
* Design and roll out HR initiatives aligned with business goals, across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, and employee engagement
* Collaborate with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent through effective strategies and employer branding
* Manage complex employee relations matters, leading investigations and delivering outcomes with integrity
* Ensure HR programs comply with Fair Work Act and Australian employment legislation
* Drive people processes: annual pay reviews, performance cycles, talent calibration, succession planning
* Enhance HR systems and processes - onboarding, payroll, HRIS - to boost compliance and efficiency
* Lead or support engagement events, L&D initiatives, and continuous process improvements
About You
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and Fair Work compliance
* Hands‑on experience across ER/IR
* Skilled communicator, trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
