HCH is a Hunter based construction and maintenance specialist providing a broad range of services across the Industrial, Rail and Civil sectors. We are recognised as a leading provider of rectification, maintenance and upgrade works for complex infrastructure and rail assets.
HCH has multiple projects starting in locations around the Hunter and North Coast areas providing long term career opportunities for both local and away works. We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified Trades People (Timber and Steel) and experienced Rail Workers looking to further their careers in the rail industry.
About You
* Current driver license
* Ability to work and communicate in a team environment.
* Construction industry induction (white card).
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work overtime and travel as required.
* Capable of passing Cat 3 rail medical including random drug and alcohol testing.
Favourable Attributes
* Interest in career development (i.e. Cert II Rail Infrastructure, Cert III Rail Structures, On Track Plant Operator - Hi Rail, etc.).
* Previous rail experience and RIW accreditations.
* Experience with bridges and/or steel, concrete and timber structures.
* HR/HC license.
* Plant and equipment tickets.
* Trade Certificate.
Roles Available
* Skilled Rail Labourer (pre-trade experience in Steel/Timber/Blast/Paint).
* Bridge Structural Repairer (Timber/Steel/Concrete), Cert III Rail Structures.
About the Opportunity
* Casual and full-time positions range from trade assistant to site supervisor.
* As part of the HCH team you would be involved with works on rail infrastructure ranging from concrete culverts to heritage multi-span bridges requiring specialist maintenance and repair techniques.
* Competitive renumeration. Casual rates ranging from $37 to $49 per hour.
* LAHA (Living Away from Home Allowance) provided.
* Based out of the HCH Kurri Kurri Depot.
