A$600.00/yr - A$680.00/yr
We're currently supporting a leading Tier One mining company to recruit a Contract Specialist for a 6-month contract. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end contracts and procurement across a range of work packages. This is your chance to bring your expertise to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert commercial advice to the delivery team for complex and large capital projects.
2. Lead sourcing activities, including strategy development, negotiation and implementation of master service agreements, as well as construction, supply, and consultancy contracts.
3. Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance, assessing claims and resolving disputes in a timely manner.
4. Build and maintain strong, proactive relationships with the team and contracted suppliers, grounded in shared values.
5. Work collaboratively with the Procurement team.
We're looking for someone who has:
1. Expertise in tendering, evaluation, contract drafting, and negotiation.
2. Proven experience in managing end-to-end procurement activities for capital contracts.
3. Strong background in construction projects.
4. Experience in claims management and achieving effective commercial outcomes.
5. Focused on fostering a strong team culture and maintaining a proactive attitude.
6. Ability to manage stakeholders and build strong relationships.
7. Skilled at handling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
