**About the role**:
This role will see you provide a specialised neuropsychology consultancy service to Hunter New England Local Health District Drug & Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS) through district-wide training, clinical support and consultation to staff. In addition to this, you will provide high quality, client-focused, and evidence-based neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis and intervention to clients involved in DACS programs.

This position is primarily supported by the District Manager of DACS, with the Allied Health Lead as additional support for this role.

**Where you'll be working**:
The Neuropsychology Service is based in the Hunter New England Local Health District at James Fletcher Hospital, Newcastle. We are a part of the wider DACS team and provide outreach services as required across the district. This position will see you job sharing with the current incumbent.

**About You**:
The successful applicant will be professional and have a strong understanding of legal and ethical boundaries. You will have strong communication skills and a passion for patient centred care. A willingness to travel to provide outreach services is also required for this position.

**Requirements**:

- General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, with area of practice endorsement in clinical neuropsychology.
- Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical neuropsychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognized equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.

**Additional Information**:

- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
