Beverage Server Job Description
This role involves delivering exceptional beverage services to casino guests in a professional and efficient manner. Key responsibilities include taking orders, retrieving drinks, computing bills, maintaining awareness of liquor regulations, removing waste, and communicating with guests to provide additional service.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Order Taking and Drink Retrieval: Guests place orders, which are entered into the point-of-sale system, and retrieved by the server. Completed orders are collected from bartenders and/or kitchen staff and served to guests.
* Bill Computation and Payment Handling: Accurate billing is performed, and guests pay using various tender methods. Change is made as necessary.
* Liquor Regulations: Servers must maintain awareness of state, federal, and local regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages.
* Waste Removal: Empty or dirty glassware and serviceware are removed and returned to the bar or kitchen area for cleaning.
* Ongoing Communication: Regular check-ins with guests ensure they receive additional service and their beverages are refilled as needed.
* Cleaning Duties: Cleaning tasks are performed using standard cleaning products according to health and safety guidelines.
* Training and Meetings: Participation in training sessions, safety meetings, and departmental gatherings is essential.
* Guest Service: Demonstrating exceptional guest service and adhering to our Guest Service Standards is crucial.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
* A minimum age requirement of 21 years.
* A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
* Food Handler or ServSafe certification and Responsible Alcohol Service certification, or proof of current certification.
* The ability to read and write English fluently to comprehend menus, promotions, take orders, and interact with guests.
* The capacity to recall and communicate menu items and special promotions.
* Experience handling cash transactions.
* The capability to learn and operate the point-of-sale system.
* The ability to transport trays of beverages through a busy environment during your shift.
* A neat and well-presented appearance at all times.
* Excellent judgment and organizational skills.
* PASSING A MANDATORY DRUG TEST AND OBTAINING A VALID GAMING LICENSE ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.
* PROVIDING EVIDENCE OF EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY IN THE U.S IS REQUIRED.
