Kemps Petersons Legal Pty Ltd is PICA Group’s specialist incorporated legal practice specialising in strata and commercial civil litigation, recoveries, insolvency and property services. Our work helps our clients stay financially healthy, and we’re looking for a Junior Solicitor who wants to play a hands-on role in that purpose.
What you’ll do
Draft and manage various initiating action documents, motions, petitions and pertinent proposed orders as may be necessary across multiple jurisdictions.
Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and negotiations
Maintain strong client relationships with regular, transparent communication
Review and accurately interpret client documents
Initiate, respond to and maintain written/verbal communication with clients, defendants, internal and external stakeholders
Maintain case management of matters within KPIs
Research legal issues as directed by supervising Solicitor
Interpret and analyse legislation and regulatory authority guidance
Collaborate with senior lawyers, paralegals, and support staff to deliver high-quality outcomes
What you’ll bring
Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years’ PQE in legal document drafting, insolvency, debt recovery, strata and civil litigation
You’re known for outstanding client service and communication skills (written & verbal).
Excellent time management and organisational skill is a must for this high‑pace, high‑volume role
You are proficient with MS Suite programs
You are willing to expand your knowledge and skills across multiple jurisdictions
You can professionally and sensitively deal with clients and third parties.
Sound judgment, ethical practice and the ability to escalate risks appropriately.
Knowledge of practice and procedure in Magistrates/Local, Supreme, and Federal Courts.
