Role responsibilities:
- Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments, shopping or community outings.
- Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.
- Continue to support clients to live in their own home by providing help with their domestic assistance, meal preparation and most importantly, companionship.
What we are looking for:
- A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.
- Willingness to learn current skills on the job through training.
- Experience with manual handling ie: hoist.
- Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable, current Nursing students will also be considered.
- Experience in either aged care, disability, community is highly desirable along with an understanding of Dementia.
- A valid driver's license and own vehicle is a MUST.
- Current First Aid certificate, Police check, NDIS Worker screening check and Working with Children Check (mandatory) or willingness to obtain.
