Do you want to make an IMPACT? We are currently seeking a driven individual to join our City Assets Team on an ongoing basis as Building Maintenance Officer - Carpentry.
About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Undertaking maintenance on Latrobe City Council's building assets as required by the Building Maintenance Team Leader.
* Managing the delivery of select range of minor capital works projects.
* Taking a hands on approach to building projects.
* Ensuring work performed is of a high quality and meets the required service levels and standards set by Council.
About you
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with highly developed communication skills. You will have experience and developed skills in carpentry and a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with a diverse workload.
You'll need
* A trade qualification in Carpentry.
* Demonstrated experience performing carpentry tasks for a large or complex organisation.
* Licences for the role, including White/Red Card, Elevated Work Platform, Working at Heights and Forklift Licences.
* A high level of knowledge in respect to current practices and industry standards relating to carpentry and OH&S requirements.
* Skills to work in a team environment and manage a diverse workload.
* Computer skills to complete progress reports and required task administration.
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
