We are looking for a creative, passionate and enthusiastic person to join our Front Office team. This role is a permanent part-time position for the right candidate. If you have a genuine care for good guest service, a can-do attitude, and thrive on variety — we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
Working alongside our Front Office, Spa and Housekeeping teams, you will play a central role in keeping Lon running smoothly — attending to all front office and reception duties while supporting the wider team across Spa, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Events, and more as needed.
No two days are the same at Lon. You will be the warm and capable face of our retreat — managing everything from guest check-ins and email/phone correspondence to food preparation, supplier coordination and gift voucher processing. An eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are every bit as important here as genuine warmth with guests.
Your Responsibilities Include
Guest Services & Front Office
◆ Welcoming guests and conducting check-ins and check-outs
◆ Attending to all front reception duties — phone calls, emails, and in-person enquiries
◆ Handling guest feedback and complaints with care and professionalism
◆ Hosting reception including retail and pantry sales and orders
◆ Cash and EFTPOS reconciliations
◆ Preparation for guest arrivals including food orders and pre-arrival correspondence
Food, Retail & Operations
◆ Collection and delivery of guest food from suppliers; allocation to guest rooms in coordination with housekeeping
◆ Food preparation for guest breakfasts and platters (Food Handling Certificate required)
◆ Processing and delivery of gift vouchers
◆ Managing and stock-taking Lon’s retail offering as required
Events, Partnerships & Team Support
◆ Assisting with Lon events including site inspections and appointments
◆ Data entry and analysis
◆ Liaising with and strengthening relationships with suppliers, agents and partners
◆ Jumping in to support across Spa, Reservations, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Events and Marketing as required
◆ Working with the Lon team to deliver an industry-leading accommodation, spa and event experience
What We're Looking For
◆ A creative, passionate and enthusiastic approach — a genuine can-do attitude
◆ Genuine care for great guest service and an eye for detail
◆ Prior experience in a hospitality role is preferable
◆ Confident managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities with a calm head
◆ Friday and weekend availability — essential for this role
◆ Food Handling Certificate and RSA (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
◆ Comfortable with data entry, correspondence and basic reporting
◆ A team player who is equally happy working independently
