Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) systems for all dairy productsEnsure compliance with food safety regulationsConduct internal audits and coordinate external regulatory and third-party auditsOversee product testing, including microbiological, chemical, and sensory analysisMonitor raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standardsWork closely with the production team to maintain hygiene and safety protocolsIdentify and resolve quality issues during production to prevent defects or contaminationLead and mentor the Quality Control teamWork with the NPD and Food Safety Project Manager on training programs for employees on hygiene, food safety, and quality control proceduresInvestigate and resolve customer complaints related to product qualityImplement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurring issuesWork with the sales and marketing team to ensure customer expectations are metMaintain quality records, SOPs, and certifications as per industry and regulatory standardsPrepare and submit quality reports to senior managementStay updated on industry trends, emerging quality standards, and new dairy technologiesTrouble shooting of product quality issues and developing corrective actionsEnsure all maintenance and or mechanical works are adhering to quality standards Experience and Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Quality and in house laboratory of a food manufacturing facilityQualifications in dairy or food ScienceA thorough understanding of Food Standards Codes (FSANZ) and food safety regulating bodies DFSV, DAWE and SQF and major retail customers' quality standardsExperience in managing food labelling and product specificationsExperience as SQF Practitioner will be advantageousNPD and dairy industry exposure will be advantageousHigh level of communication, negotiation and leadership skillsSuperior and efficient problem-solving skillsHigh level computer skills, particularly with MS Word, MS Excel and MS OutlookAttention to detail in an FMCG environment
