**The opportunity**
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Officer to join the Performance Management & Quality Branch in supporting high quality end to end participant experience through delivery of Continuous Improvement, a Quality Management Framework and Performance Management activities.
12-month initial Labour Hire contracts with the opportunity to extend. APS6 level role offering an hourly rate of $60.26 + Super, this position will be based out of Richmond or Geelong.
This is a hybrid position, offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks, with 8-hour days expected.
**About the role**:
The position is a team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership within the positions assigned Work Area.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework
- Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities
- Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation
- Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits
- Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs
