About the role
We are currently seeking a fixed-term, full-time Legal Secretary to join our Labour, Employment and Workplace Safety team based in our Sydney office.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy practice and assist the team in all areas of secretarial support, including managing crucial team administration, handling client queries and managing the monthly billing process.
Your primary role will be to assist the partners and practice group in making sure the practice runs smoothly.
What does the role involve?
* Managing diaries, juggling and arranging appointments, booking rooms and catering and ultimately ensuring client needs are met to the best of your ability
* Providing general administrative support to the partner and fee earners in the practice group – helping them do the best work they can
* Assisting with the monthly billing process - doing your best to support our partners and lawyers by facilitating an organised and timely process
* Managing the team's filing including electronic files
* Handling confidential information and opening new matters
* Inputting and maintaining client data into client relationship software (Interaction)
* Assisting with client queries
* Assisting with client development work
About you

To be successful in this role you will ideally have 3+ years' experience supporting a partner in all facets of their practice area, ideally within the Labour, Employment & Workplace Safety area, however experience in other areas will be considered.
You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and work well in a team. You should be able to work to deadlines, use your initiative and demonstrate exemplary attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential in this role, as are excellent communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite3E and InterAction preferred).
