About the Role:
The role of Speech Pathologist requires effective communication and collaboration with clients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver client-centered care. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers and family, other health professionals from different disciplines, students and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach.
o Manage an appropriate caseload using effective time management and prioritisation skills, including clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
o Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities including completing and maintaining mandatory training requirements, participating in performance appraisal, development plans and clinical supervision.
o Provide education, direction and supervision for routine tasks to less experienced staff, students and support staff, with the support of senior clinical staff.
