It contributes to the service system that offers care, support, and protection for these children. One of these services is the Intensive Therapeutic Service, funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and managed by Berry Street.Location: Morwell, South East Victoria Region, on Bunurong and Gunaikurnai CountryPosition: Full-time, permanentSalary: $112K plus super, with options for salary packaging, including motor vehicle allowanceAdditional Involvement: In partnership with community service agencies, Berry Street also provides therapeutic family violence services, foster care, residential care, and services for the Family Preservation and Reunification Response Program.Key ResponsibilitiesThis specialist role involves providing clinical assessment, consultancy, and therapeutic support within the Berry Street Southern Therapeutic Residential Care program. It has a leadership component, including supervision of staff. Responsibilities include:Conducting assessments and developing therapeutic treatment plans with clear, regularly reviewed goals in collaboration with clients and care teams.Working closely with clients and care teams to achieve goals within specified timeframes.Collaborating with the Teaching Family Model Consultant to support staff, provide training, and implement the model tailored for each child.Assisting residential staff to incorporate the model therapeutically.About YouThe ideal candidate will have:Sound decision-making skills, demonstrated through excellent clinical judgments.High self-discipline, enabling targeted clinical services within strict timeframes.Proven ability to deliver high-standard complex clinical assessments and treatments for children, young people, and families, meeting service delivery outputs and outcomes.An appropriate Bachelor degree or higher in a Health or Welfare-related field such as Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related disciplines, with at least 5 years of clinical experience with children.Additional qualifications such as postgraduate training, experience in secondary consultation, psychoeducation, coaching, or Family Therapy training are advantageous.BenefitsRegular reflective supervisionSalary packaging options including meals and accommodation, valued at $15,900 per annum (pro-rata)10 weeks paid parental leave and other generous leave conditionsAccess to Employee Assistance Program for staff and immediate familyLeave loading of 17.5%How to ApplySubmit your application, including resume and cover letter addressing your suitability, by midnight Sunday, 1st June.
