About the Role

Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care. Since opening in 1929 our hospital continues to grow to meet the changing needs of our community and incorporate new models of care.

The Medical Records clerk is responsible for the timely provision of administrative and clerical services to ensure effective day-to-day operations of the Medical Records Department at Canterbury Hospital. Whilst performing functions relating to medical record retrieval, culling, scanning and maintaining an up to date Patient Administration System (PAS).

Ideal Candidate

* Demonstrated clerical experience in a Medical Records Department and/or hospital environment using PAS systems (Cerner and PowerChart).
* High level written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills with the capability to adapt to continuous changes in business processes, work under pressure, maintain accuracy and attention to detail whilst multi-tasking and meet deadlines.
