**About the role**
Supporting Me is seeking a disability support worker to assist a 33 year old quadriplegic male living in Young NSW with personal and domestic duties on a casual basis. The successful applicant will be easy going and fit into a relaxed and friendly family environment.
**Reliability is must**. Above award pay rates are offered in exchange for reliability.
**Times of Work**:
- Every Thursday 6:30AM - 11:00AM (including public holidays)
- Every Thursday 8:30AM - 9:30AM
- Every 3rd Weekend Saturday 7-11AM, Sunday 7-11AM & Sunday 8:30PM-9:30PM
- Additional shifts can be accepted as available
**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Assisted transfers using a ceiling hoist from wheelchair/bed/shower chair.
- Toileting, showering, dressing and basic hygiene
- Domestic duties such as washing clothes, preparations of meals, cleaning, mopping.
- Shopping
- Driving to appointments

**Skills and experience**
- A current first aid certificate is required or must be willing to obtain one.
- Working With Children Check required or must be willing to obtain one.
- Current Police Check required or must be willing to obtain one.
- Online manual handling training will be provided and must be completed.
- Online COVID-19 training modules will be provided and must be completed.
- Experience is preferred but not essential in bowel care and assisted transfers. Training will be provided.

Applicant must be willing to work using glove & gown PPE technique if a positive COVID risk is present.
