Mental Health Services Manager Mental Health services at Northpark Private Hospital are a core specialty of the hospital with recent significant growth and expansion in areas including; Adult Psychiatric Units, Older Persons Unit, Early Parenting Unit, TMS, ECT, and substantial Day Program offerings. This new position is responsible for working in collaboration with the General Manager (GM) and Director of Nursing (DON) to provide advanced clinical leadership and operational oversight across mental health inpatient, outpatient and day program services. About us: Northpark Private Hospital has been providing mental health services to the northern suburbs community and beyond since 1979. Northpark recently underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment to expand our mental health services, improving access to care for more people. We are excited to welcome passionate and innovative professionals to our expanding mental health services. Our enhanced wards now include up to 60 inpatient beds, featuring a dedicated 10-bed unit for older persons (OPU). The upgraded facilities offer beautiful group spaces, meeting rooms, interview areas, a gymnasium, and dedicated patient support zones creating an environment that fosters healing and growth. About the Role: This newly created role will report to the Director of Nursing and will be responsible for managing and leading the mental health teams with direct reports including: Adult Mental Health Unit Managers, Early Parenting Unit Manager, Allied Health Manager, Intake coordinator, ECT and TMS coordinators. The role will give you the opportunity to provide stewardship, leadership and guidance to enhance the service delivery of all mental health services, to meet the needs and expectations of consumers, specialists and the community. The successful candidate would also lead and provide an excellent standard of evidence based and person-centered care to lead and provide safe, quality nursing care through comprehensive assessment, development of a plan, implementation and evaluation of outcomes in a timely and efficient manner. Advocates for and involves patients, their families and significant others to participate in care, goal setting and discharge planning. Alongside a focus on improving the experience the role has a focus on growth with the chance to align with strategic, operational and growth objectives to continue driving services. Build and maintain positive culture and engagement which prioritizes the experiences of people, patients and Healthscope’s partners in providing exceptional care and enhance access to patients, families and carers needing mental health care. Essential Criteria: Bachelor of Science (Nursing)/ Nursing or equivalent healthcare stream Current Registration with AHPRA Meeting compliance requirements - Working with Children check, police check, serology and immunisation, workplace health and safety questionnaire Knowledge for success: · Strong and comprehensive experience in mental health clinical care delivery · History of leading clinical and operational teams in the delivery of mental health services · Ability to oversee and succeed in applying performance management principle · Accreditation and National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards · Privacy and confidentiality legislation for patients and staff · Rostering principles and budgeting experience Why Healthscope?
