Overview
Senior Manager, DDAI Oversight — provide independent 2nd Line risk oversight across Data, Digital, and AI (DDAI) initiatives. Assess and monitor material risks in projects, product launches, and business changes, ensuring risk management is embedded and aligned to Westpacs Three Lines of Defence model.
Responsibilities
* Drive thematic reviews, support risk culture uplift, and deliver risk insights to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
* Partner with 1st Line Business Controls & Monitoring teams, attend key steering committees, and contribute to senior management reporting and risk committee outputs.
* Support risk oversight across DDAI initiatives in alignment with risk frameworks and controls.
* Permanent full-time Sydney-based role, with flexible work options (3 days in office).
Qualifications
* Relevant experience in risk advisory, operational risk, or relevant risk business units
* Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and senior stakeholder management skills
* Demonstrated ability to provide independent review, challenge, and oversight across complex change initiatives
* Awareness of and interest in AI, digital transformation, and emerging technology risks
* Experience in 1st and/or 2nd Line of Defence risk roles, with practical understanding of risk frameworks and controls
* Capability to influence, collaborate, and drive risk culture uplift across business units
