The Role
The E&R – Static Equipment Engineer provides specialist engineering support to improve plant performance, increase uptime and reduce operational risk across Phosphate Hill and Mt Isa. You'll deliver expert technical advice to Maintenance Planning, Engineering, Plant Operations and Maintenance teams, while leading inspection programs, assessing equipment condition, and driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conduct inspections of static equipment including pressure vessels, PSV's, piping, structures and bunds
* Provide technical support to maintainers, technicians, planners, plant engineers and graduates
* Support and manage pressure equipment inspection programs (RMS / PCMS)
* Ensure compliance with legislative standards such as AS1210, AS4041 and AS3788
* Lead compliance audits, equipment investigations and root cause analysis
* Analyze equipment history and risk to improve reliability and asset management planning
* Develop maintenance strategies aligned to risk and criticality
* Drive improvement initiatives in a complex operational environment
What you'll bring
· You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
· Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
· AICIP or API qualifications (preferred), QMS 1,2 and 3 (or ability to obtain)
· Experience in NDT techniques, RBI systems and failure investigation (ICAMS)
· Understanding of pressure equipment legislative requirements and compliance
· Ability to influence stakeholders and work across multiple operational teams

Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
