About The Opportunity

NSW Health Pathology are currently seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join the team in our Corporate Office Newcastle on a permanent Full-Time basis. Within this role we offer flexible working arrangements including hybrid working.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide overall high level and sound advice to Management on financial management to enable the effective utilisation of resources and to achieve targeted KPI's. This includes the development of the annual budget/business plan, the ongoing review and analysis of operating and financial results.

The position works closely with the Director of Financial Operations and Business Managers to implement consistent and improved finance and business processes across NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP).

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant experience including current membership of a professional accounting body with a commitment to ongoing career development
- Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and capacity to interpret financial and non-financial data (such as activity and full time equivalent data)
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, organise and prioritise high volume workloads
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills and experience in liaison and negotiation at all levels and with a wide range of stakeholders and experience in managing and leading organisational change
- Significant experience and skills using a recognised Financial Management Information System in a large organisation, such as Oracle Financial Management System and advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
