Shift Leader Job Description
The Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant during scheduled shifts. This involves providing leadership and guidance to hourly staff members, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the management of specific areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts, maintaining a high level of organization and productivity.
* Ensure that the restaurant is properly staffed, with adequate support for peak periods.
* Conduct training and evaluation of crew members in all functional areas, fostering their growth and development.
* Support hourly employees at the point of sale, helping them execute product promotions effectively.
* Maintain a high standard of guest service across all areas, adhering to quality, value, and cleanliness standards.
* Address minor customer complaints promptly, taking necessary action to resolve issues.
* Collaborate with the management team to execute the restaurant's business plan, contributing to its success.
* Complete cash accountability reports accurately and on time, ensuring transparency and trust.
* Able to perform the duties of all other non-management positions, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
Requirements
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 1-year management experience in a restaurant setting.
* Demonstrated dedication to exceptional customer service.
* Excellent teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
* Strong math and computer literacy, particularly with Windows-based systems.
* Possess a high level of professionalism, good communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours and days to support business needs.
