Powerhouse is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Records Manager to lead the strategic and operational delivery of records management across the organisation. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance with NSW legislative and regulatory requirements, while building a strong culture of recordkeeping awareness and accountability across the business. You will work closely with senior executives, ICT, and key stakeholders to uplift systems, strengthen governance frameworks, and ensure records practices support organisational transparency, risk management, and operational excellence. We want to hear from you if you are a strategic and confident leader with demonstrated experience in records and information management within a government or highly regulated environment. Ideally, you bring experience within a cultural institution or museum setting and have worked directly with State Records NSW requirements.

Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.
