Whether you're experienced in the Education or childcare sector, have done some babysitting, this is the first time you're thinking about working with children, or anything in between, THIS is the role for you!
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centred program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.
About the school
You will be leading your team of educators at Mount Pleasant OSHClub! Licensed for 40 children, this service has room to grow with an average attendance of 10-20 in "Rise then Shine" and 25-30 in "Stay and Play". The working hours for this service are ( 7:00AM - 9:00AM and 2:15PM - 6:00PM) totaling to 31.75 hours per week (includes 3 hours admin time)
You'll have the support of an experienced, passionate, and consistent high performing team of educators, in addition to a present and supportive regional manager. Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with kids!
Strong and clear communication.
Team player with a desire to become a service leader.
Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children.
Australian work rights.
**Desirable**: Hold a Cert III (CHC30121) or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care, Cert III (CHC30221) or IV Education Support, Cert III (10983NAT) or IV Outside School Hours Care or Degree or diploma in education, recreation, sport science, leisure studies, social and behavioral science or nursing.
