Aesthetically cool, modern, lifestyle & community driven, whilst focusing on bringing you a world class training facility with programs tailored to better your physical & mental wellbeing. With over 40 + AM & PM group training sessions on offer 7 days a week, we offer the most classes to our local community. The Yard's sessions focus on strength, power, strength endurance, conditioning & cardio.

We pride ourselves on delivering the greatest 50-minute experience every single day. By utilising a combination of RIG and TURF workouts, we build strong and resilient individuals, both inside and outside of the gym.

The Studio Manager Role
The Manager is expected to embody and champion the four foundational values of The Yard Gym Kingston, setting the standard for the entire team in Honesty & Integrity, Accountability, Gold Standards and Fortitude.
The Manager's responsibilities are
Operations & Administration
• Oversee daily gym operations to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Managing Mindbody schedule for classes and gym events
• Managing roster for all staff shifts
• Handle administrative tasks, including membership management, billing and reporting.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
• Ensure the studio is compliant with all the requirements of the franchise agreement and liaise with The Yard Gym HQ as required.
Team Leadership
• Recruit, train and manage coaches and support staff.
• Conduct weekly team meetings to ensure alignment with gym goals and standards.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Act as the first point of contact for staff to raise issues and concerns
Member Experience
• Ensure a high-quality experience for all members through excellent customer service.
• Handle member feedback, concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Create and implement retention strategies to maintain and grow the member base.
Sales & Marketing
• Drive membership sales through effective outreach, campaigns and community engagement.
• Collaborate with the marketing team at The Yard Gym HQ to promote gym events, classes and programs.
• Analyse key metrics to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly
Community Engagement
• Plan and execute member events, workshops and challenges to build a strong gym community.
• Represent the gym at local events and maintain strong relationships with local businesses.
• Act as the Challenge Rep and point of contact for all challenges

We hope you already have experienced what our training is all about, if not we want to see you in the gym. The little extra bits we would love to see you have:
Qualifications & Experience
• Cert III and/or Cert IV in Fitness
• First Aid and CPR qualification
• Experience in a management role, preferably in the fitness or wellness industry.
• Familiarity with group training functional fitness programs and fitness industry trends.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in membership management software and basic financial reporting.
• Sales and marketing experience is a plus.
• Extensive experience in the growth of a gym member base.
