About the role:
Security Officers
Immediate start ASAP.
Aviation/Government sites-static guards.
Locals only, NO FIFO.
Subsidised shared accommodation can be provided on relocation for the suitable candidate.
We are currently seeking multiple experienced Security Officers to work in our sites in Karratha. We are looking for self-motivated and customer service focused guards who are flexible and available for other positions too.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* We look for mature and responsible people with common sense to fulfil the role of security guard. Along with these qualities, you must also be: -
Honest / Alert / Calm / physically capable / good communicator / respectful / professional / Understand and uphold confidentiality and privacy.
* High level situational awareness skills are essential. These skills includes: -
Keen observation abilities / Vigilance / Continual awareness of your surrounds / Establishing "temporary relationships" with customers / Managing aggressive behaviour.
* Secures premises and personnel by patrolling and access points.
* Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behaviour.
* Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities - Maintain site logbooks.
* Respond to incidents and prepare written reports.
* Monitor access to authorized patrons, staff, visitors, and contractors using Access Control systems.
* Interact with key stakeholders including management and emergency services.
* Practice and implement health and safety processes.
Skills and Experience:
* Certificate II in Security Operations
* First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Full WA Driver's License
* Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service skills.
In addition to the above:
* Be able to work a flexible roster of working across (12 hours shifts day/night)
* Basic computer skills
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
* Are motivated, determined, punctual and reliable.
* The ability to handle and manage challenging/conflicting situations.
* The ability to comply with all policies and procedures.
