Site Supervisor
A talented Horticulturalist with a passion for creating thriving garden and landscape environments is required to join ASQ Garden & Landscape as a Site Supervisor.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of our primary nursery facility. This may involve overseeing the yard as needed. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will lead a team of sales assistant/nursery hands, and site workers, ensuring a commitment to high standards of customer service, product presentation, and adherence to safety protocols.
Main Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining a culture of safety first, ensuring compliance with ASQ policies and procedures, with a focus on Operational and Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment (WHSE) management systems.
* Oversight of the safe and efficient daily operation, including customer service, negotiation with suppliers, and maintaining optimum product conditions.
* Staff management, including approving timesheets, participating in recruitment, providing training and feedback to ensure a motivated and well-prepared team.
* Efficient task allocation to staff based on their strengths and expertise, ensuring smooth daily operations.
* Providing valuable insights and suggestions for plant ordering, contributing to the diverse and appealing product range.
* Cultivating strong and positive relationships with suppliers to enhance product quality and availability.
Key Selection Criteria:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Horticulture or appropriate industry training courses.
* Minimum two years of horticulture and supervisory experience.
* Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
* Strong work ethic, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment and promote a culture of teamwork.
