Fixed Term Part Time – 20.4 hours per week until 24 December 2026
Salary: $37.25 per hour and 12% superannuation

We are seeking expressions of interest for a temporary part time opportunity for a Library Services Officer to join the team at the Moe Library until 17 July 2026.
About the Role
Latrobe City Council is seeking a motivated and organised Business Development Administration Assistant to support the delivery of initiatives that strengthen our local economy and enhance engagement with businesses across the region.
In this fixed term role, you’ll provide high‑quality administrative, customer service and project support to the Business Development team. You will contribute to a wide range of economic development activities, including maintaining accurate business and project data, supporting the implementation of the Economic Development Strategy, preparing reports, and assisting in the coordination of business events, workshops and training programs.
You’ll work closely with local business and industry, government agencies and various external stakeholders, representing Council with professionalism and a commitment to excellent service. This role is key to supporting a vibrant, thriving, and business‑friendly municipality.
About you
You are an adaptable and proactive administrator with strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in supporting local economic growth. You thrive in a team environment, can manage competing priorities, and bring a positive, solutions‑focused approach to your work.
You'll need:
* The ability to set and achieve goals while maintaining the quality and timeliness of programs and projects.
* Effective collaboration skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Demonstrated ability to resolve problems through a variety of techniques
* Ability to understand and empathise with business challenges and deliver effective outcomes.
* Proven interpersonal, networking and strong communication skills.
* Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel and CRMS systems. Expertise in Mailchimp and Monitor highly regarded.
