About The Role
Supporting a registered nurse/registered midwife in the provision of person and family centred, quality, safe patient care specified by the standards of practice and registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). This care will be evidenced by educational preparation, adhering to relevant legislation and context of care.
About You
* Contemporary clinical knowledge and general experience or a passion to learn and work with rural patient groups
* Consistent delivery of a high level of services to patients, parents, caregivers and families, demonstrating rapport building skills, listening skills and empathy.
* High level of communication skills and ability to elevate issues to a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
* Ability to coordinate and deliver quality nursing care, whilst working within a risk management framework and in accordance with professional standards (e.g. infection control, Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, and Codes & Competency Standards).
* Willing to take instructions and guidance from other team members and a willingness to help and support others to contribute to the successful functioning of the team.
Mandatory Requirements
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine‐preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
