About the Role
As our Head Chef, you’ll guide all aspects of the kitchen — from menu development and garden‑to‑plate planning to service leadership and team culture. You’ll work closely with our estate team to create food experiences that feel generous, thoughtful, and unmistakably Lambert.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Designing seasonal menus for restaurant service, events, and cellar door experiences
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a positive, high‑performing kitchen team
* Collaborating with our Kitchen Gardener to plan and utilise estate‑grown produce
* Maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation
* Managing ordering, stock control, food costs, and supplier relationships
* Ensuring compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards
* Contributing to the warm, premium guest experience Lambert Estate is known for
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
* Strong leadership skills with a calm, collaborative approach
* Passion for seasonal, local, and estate‑grown ingredients
* Creativity balanced with operational discipline
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to deliver high‑quality food across both restaurant and event service
