Thermal Scanners is a leading provider of electrical compliance and thermal imaging services across South East Queensland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to support our electrical technicians across commercial and industrial sites throughout Brisbane.
This role suits someone with hands-on site experience who enjoys varied work, understands safe work practices, and wants to be part of a professional, growing team.
About the Role
As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside qualified electrical technicians assisting with electrical inspections, testing, and compliance works. You will support site setup, assist with tools and equipment, and help ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
🔹 Paid on a day-rate basis
🔹 Most workdays finish well within 8 hours
🔹 Work across a variety of commercial and industrial sites
Applicants must be based in Brisbane (Central or South).
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Assisting electrical technicians with inspections, testing, and site works
* Setting up and maintaining safe work areas and exclusion zones
* Handling tools, equipment, and materials as required
* Following all WHS policies, procedures, and site requirements
* Assisting with job safety analysis (JSA) and risk assessments
* Meeting daily and weekly KPIs
* Complying with reasonable instructions from technicians
* Efficient driving, navigation, and time management between sites
About You
We are looking for a dependable, proactive individual who takes pride in their work and safety.
Essential:
* Current unrestricted driver’s licence
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability
* Ability to work well as part of a team
Preferred (or willingness to obtain):
* Construction White Card
* First Aid Certificate including CPR
* Low Voltage Rescue (LVR)
