We are looking for an experienced asset management leader to guide our strategic direction and support our future planning. This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity based in Camberwell and part of the Asset Management Leadership team. Band 8 $132,478 - $148,328 (excl super plus RDO).
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and improvement of Council's asset management practices whilst shaping policies, plans and long-term strategies. Ensure our infrastructure assets are well managed, safe and sustainable.
* Collaborate with staff across Council, external consultants, and the community; provide expert advice and promote best practice.
* Lead a team of six and support a positive and high-performing culture.
* Develop and refine asset management plans and strategies to support long-term sustainability; monitor asset performance to guide renewal planning and future investment.
* Oversee public lighting, support statutory requirements, and ensure asset information is accurate and accessible.
* Work closely with teams across Council, sharing advice and building strong relationships to improve service delivery.
About You
* Experienced leader with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; has experience delivering asset management frameworks and long-term renewal programs.
* Communicate clearly, influence confidently, and balance competing priorities to deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
* A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline is highly regarded; leadership experience in asset management is essential.

* Current National Police Record Check is required; some roles may require an Employee Working with Children Clearance.
