As a Weeds Officer, you will be based in Tennant Creek with a focus on the Barkly region, however you will be working closely with team members across the regions. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop, coordinate and implement weed management activities, including extension, strategic control, eradication, survey and compliance programs. You'll provide technical advice, develop weed management plans at various scales and inform stakeholders of their legislative responsibilities under the Weeds Management Act 2001. Fieldwork in remote areas is a key aspect of the role, alongside data collection, mapping and participation in priority weed control programs.
