About Us

The Intelligent Automation Team within the NSW Department of Education is a mature automation practice that has developed extensive robotic process automation (RPA) capabilities using Blue Prism as its core RPA tool, alongside Microsoft Power Platform solutions, over the years. The team operates within the Shared Services Directorate, which is responsible for transforming how we deliver services to our customers.

We are a group of passionate professionals committed to delivering high-quality services. Our team has a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing RPA solutions that streamline internal processes and enhance service delivery.


About the role

As the Analyst Intelligent Automation, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality robotic process automation and intelligent Automation solutions aimed at enhancing customer experience across the Department.

Your responsibilities:

* Collaborating with business SME to deliver end-to-end automation solutions
* Manage automation schedules, monitor system performance for quality assurance
* Provide operation support for production releases and develop comprehensive handover and user training

About you

The ideal candidate is highly solution-focused, bringing strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven experience delivering end-to-end low-code robotic automation solutions that improves efficiency and customer outcomes. You will demonstrate:

* Experience in process automation with the ability to recommend technologies that improve business process efficiencies.
* Experience using RPA tools such as Blue Prism (highly desirable), Microsoft Power Platform, or other similar automation technologies.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively translate complex and technical concepts
* Knowledge of a programming language such as VBA, .NET, JAVA, C++, SQL scripting, SOAP/REST-based API, or equivalent
* Solid understanding of technology and architecture concepts, including OCR, AI, chatbots, virtual agents, and human-in-the-loop/attended automation tools.

Key Knowledge and experience

* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
