The focus of this role is to ensure the standards and control of IT infrastructure, including servers and personal hardware, are maintained. This role is 8 days on 6 days off, Thursday to Thursday FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
* Log, resolve or escalat[e] where required all issues in the ITSM platform and liaise and communicate IT-related work to the representative of the designated site
* Execute IT work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with the work orders raised by the Corporate IT team
* Create, develop, and update support documentation for the site, raising issues or improvement suggestions
* Act as an escalation point, providing support and guidance where possible, and coordinate work at the site independently and when delegated by the Corporate IT team
* Work autonomously and be accountable for site IT/OT technology, including desktops, servers, network infrastructure, storage, and software queries
* Be responsible for all site printers and serve as the point of contact for printer manufacturer service engineers
* Relocate office and office equipment at the site, including installing and setting up communication racks and network, server and storage appliances, Wi‐Fi access points, and antennas
* Serve as the point of contact for all Internet & Radio VHF/UHF connectivity queries across the site
* Manage all technology queries across the site from a varied customer base
* Handle site-based procurement and stock management for Project work and end users
* Liaise with project management teams in Perth, assisting in project delivery
* An on‐call component as required
Key Skills / Qualifications / Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in IT or computer science
* May hold Vendor certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
* A good understanding of PCs, operating systems, networking and applications
* Any experience with VHF radios, leaky feeder systems preferable
* Highly organised and efficient
* Demonstrated willingness to assist and provide support
* Advance time Management Skills
* Flexible approach to change in role scope and responsibilities
* Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
