About the role
We are seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team at Bells At Killcare, a renowned luxury coastal resort located on the picturesque Central Coast region of New South Wales. As a full-time member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of exceptional dining experiences for our discerning guests.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the planning and coordination of daily kitchen operations
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work environment in your designated section of the kitchen
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed
- Collaborate with the wider culinary team to deliver consistently outstanding meals
- Participate in menu development and contribute ideas to enhance the dining experience
- Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff as required
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Formal culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Proven expertise in various cooking techniques and a strong understanding of food presentation and plating
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider culinary team
- Passion for using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients to create innovative and flavoursome dishes
