Residential Support Worker Job Description
This role is for a casual Residential Support Worker to join our team in Emerald. As a support worker, you will provide a sense of safety, structure, acceptance, stability, and security for young people in our care homes and community.
Main Responsibilities:
* Engage with young people to support them in all aspects of life, both at home and in the wider community.
* Implement strategies identified in individual care plans and participate in regular plan reviews to ensure clear goals are in place.
* Support planned contact and connectedness to family as approved by child protection services.
* Support social, recreational, educational, and health activities tailored to each young person's unique needs.
Necessary Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or Community Services (or equivalent).
* Alternative qualifications: Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or Youth Work; Diploma in Behavioural Science, Counselling, Nursing, or Mental Health.
