Step out of the site grind and into a leadership role that shapes the industry
Guide the next generation across WA
A genuine sea-change: leadership, training, and impact without the 15-site juggle
At some point in your construction career, you stop asking:
"What's the next site I'll take on?"
…and start asking:
"What legacy will I leave behind?"
This is that opportunity.
Our client is a respected, values-driven residential building consultancy with a reputation for integrity, quality, and detail across WA. Their inspectors are trusted by homeowners, builders, developers and insurers — and the business is entering an exciting new chapter as it invests heavily in people, systems, and AI-enabled technology.
With a senior leader moving on, they're now looking for a Building & Construction Manager to become the technical and cultural backbone of the inspection team. This role is perfect for an experienced Residential Construction Supervisor, Site Supervisor / Manager, or leader who wants to move away from the day-to-day site grind and into a high-influence leadership role where you coach, uplift, develop and guide a state-wide team.
The Role – A Career Sea-Change
As the Building & Construction Manager, you will:
* Lead, mentor and uplift a team of building inspectors across Perth and regional WA
* Build training frameworks, onboarding pathways, and quality standards
* Support inspectors on complex builds, defects, and technical challenges
* Use modern systems, digital tools, and AI-driven reporting platforms
* Modernise processes, evolve capability, and help define best practice for the industry
* Work closely with the Managing Director on strategy and operational uplift
* Represent the business as a calm, respected voice of authority and professionalism
One day you're in the field coaching an inspector.
The next you're refining QA systems, training new hires, or solving a technical problem.
This is hands-on, people-first leadership — not a desk-bound compliance job.
You might be:
* A Construction Supervisor keen to explore a break from the 12–15 site juggle
* A Site Manager ready for more influence and less firefighting
* An experienced residential construction professional wanting to move into leadership and capability building
* A high-performing supervisor who loves mentoring and helping others grow
* Someone who values quality, standards, and doing things right the first time
We are seeking someone with natural leadership and people-development instincts, a calm, grounded presence that builds confidence in others and a genuine desire to help people become better builders, better inspectors, and better professionals,
Why This Role Is Different
* Impact: Your work directly lifts construction quality across WA.
* Balance: No more chasing trades, client blowups or early morning concrete pours
* Influence: You shape capability, training and technical standards.
* Modern environment: AI-enabled systems and a forward-thinking team.
* Culture: Grounded, loyal, collaborative, and genuinely values-driven.
* Future opportunity: A long-term pathway into senior leadership and ultimately, equity and ownership for the right person.
