An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented, self-motivated, commercially oriented Assistant Category Manager to join our Foodservice Team!
Reporting to the Category Manager, this role will see you leading the quarterly channel activation plan and providing insight led, channel-based tactics & tools in order to deliver profitable & sustainable category growth.
**About the Role**
- Lead quarterly focus strategy and activation, collaborating with Category, Sales and Marketing in order to achieve AOC and in year channel and category mix objectives
- Map the FS/QSR market across 3 year horizon in order to develop & grow the Savoury Bites category, aiding in the design of the strategic roadmap by customer channel & sub channel
- Measure & Monitor Channel Performance against the 3 Year Strategic Plan utilising Salesforce, Microstrategy and Third Party data.
- Lead the Insights to Proposition process (5I2P) for the Foodservice/Quick Service Restaurant business for their prospective category, identifying key insights that inform & develop our Savoury Bites category/channel strategy leading to profitable top-line growth
- Support the annual brand planning process working collaboratively the Foodservice Marketing Managers and Sales Managers to maximise the performance of the core range
- Assist with mix management and the portfolio review process, including supporting innovation projects with size of prize, channel strategy and measuring performance metrics against targets.
- Support in gaining new business & developing existing partnerships by jointly collaborating with the Sales & Marketing to design tailored category and customer propositions that deliver against commercial growth plans
**About You**
- Relevant degree qualification, with previous experience in category management or marketing is preferable
- Working knowledge of FMCG industry & route to market process
- Attention to detail paired with demonstrated ability to analyse complex data & make recommendations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams to execute an agreed commercial plan
- Prior use experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems & a strong ability to learn new systems quickly
