Our Opportunity
The HUON Class Whole Ship System Support Contract is managed by the Mine Hunter Coastal In Service Support Program by the Thales Maritime team in Newcastle. We have a great opportunity for a computer savy Store person to play a key role in the team to ensure the timely and smooth flow of materials through the warehouse, processes of receipt, storage, maintenance and issues.
**Responsibilities**
- Update the movement activity of items into the Inventory Management System.
- Accurate and timely data entry of all applicable delivery details into the Inventory Management System.
- Locate and store ISS Inventory in appropriately designated storage areas with regard to hazardous and other statutory requirements.
- Pick and package stores in accordance with approved Requisitions.
- Loading transport vehicles with Intra / interstate and overseas despatches.
**About You**
In addition to your unwavering commitment to workplace safety, you hold the following qualifications, tickets/licences and experience:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously,
- Strong computer skills, ideally with previous experience in stock management software,
- Fork lift license is desirable however not essential
- Demonstrated stores/logistics/warehousing experience in a fast paced environment,
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
At times, this role will be physically demanding and you'll be required to lift up to 10kg, walk or stand for most of the shift.
Special Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance and access information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
