Procurement Leadership Role
About this role
This is a senior leadership position within the Department of Education, focused on building and managing a team of procurement professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities, mentoring and developing branch staff, and exercising procurement delegation.
The role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across the Department and Government.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
* Exercise procurement delegation, overseeing sourcing and contract management processes.
* Develop and implement best practice procurement management systems, strategies, and procedures that meet business needs.
* Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including departmental leaders, government officials, and industry partners.
