We are seeking an experienced and organised Administration/Data Entry Clerk to join our team on Thursdays & Fridays at Northern Scales Service in Cairns, QLD 4870. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our office, which include assisting with general administrative duties and maintaining accurate financial records.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with general administrative duties such as answering phones and responding to emails, directing queries to the appropriate team members
- Greet customers in a qualified, friendly manner and assist with general enquiries
- Accurately input, update, and maintain data in the online accounting system
- Maintain accurate financial records, including bank reconciliations and payroll processing
- Handle accounts receivable queries, including payment follow-ups and reconciling invoices
- Assist with taxation and compliance requirements
- Ensure all record-keeping and documentation is well-organised and easily accessible
What We're Looking For
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar administrative/data entry role, ideally within a small business or service-based industry
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- An understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements for small businesses
- Demonstrated proficiency with Quickbooks (or similar accounting software) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
