Monacellars are a medium-sized liquor wholesaling and retailing business based in Gippsland. We are proudly 100% locally owned and operated, employing over 70 Gippslanders across our operations.
We have a large warehouse and distribution center in Morwell and a large fleet of trucks who service more than 700 liquor and coffee customers across Gippsland and greater Victoria. We also have 3 liquor stores across Gippsland.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Store Assistant Supervisor to join our close-knit retail team based at our Warragul Store on a full-time basis. The role requires high levels of motivation and organisation.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
* Upholding excellent customer service levels
* Excellent store presentation
* Assist with the management of the store including training and working closely with casual staff to develop their skills
* Time management of daily tasks to ensure our customers experience exceeds our competitors
* Ensuring pricing and other group compliance is adhered in a timely manner.
* Ensuring Loss prevention strategies are followed
* Contributing to the efficiency & improvement of retail operations
* Evolving, growing, and developing with the business for growth.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Strong communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Excellent work ethic
* Ability to manage, lead and mentor staff
* Minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience in retail, liquor or hospitality combined with strong sales skills including wine knowledge
* Have proven success in increasing sales and delivering outstanding customer service.
* Be well presented and trustworthy
* Strong operational & problem-solving skills
* Good IT/computer skills.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication.
As this is a fast-paced operation we do require you to be fit, and flexible with work requirements.
This role is a rotating roster including weekends, some nights (8pm finish) and approximately 38-45 hours per week.
This role has a rewarding remuneration including a sales bonus given the KPI's of the role are met.
