Account Executive Job Description

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our Public Sector team in Sydney. The role involves working with State Government customers across NSW, focusing on impactful projects involving AI, data, analytics, cloud and IT modernisation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing a sales pipeline, delivering on account strategies, identifying and building relationships with key decision makers, and working with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling solutions that drive great customer outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

* Increase adoption of cloud services in a defined territory
* Utilize internal resources to drive customer outcomes
* Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers to meet or exceed revenue targets
* Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
* Challenge outdated approaches to IT
* Create and articulate compelling value propositions to customers
* Analyze sales metrics/data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
* Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement
* Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy
* Work with partners to manage joint selling opportunities
* Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services
* Develop long-term strategic C-level relationships with key accounts


Requirements:

* 7+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives
