As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead and inspire a talented engineering team within the CRM Workbench Crew. Your focus will be on developing and maintaining risk platforms and tools that transform traditional business processes into intelligent, autonomous workflows, empowering the bank in managing banking risk.
In This Role, You Will:
* Support and mentor engineers, creating an environment where people feel valued and empowered to grow.
* Partner with teams across the business to align technical decisions with shared goals.
* Shape architectural standards and design solutions that enable scalable, secure AI integration.
* Co-create and deliver a technical roadmap to re-platform our Risk Copilot Platform into the new world with AI at the forefront.
* Encourage open, transparent communication about timelines, trade-offs, and risks.
* Help modernise engineering practices through AI-powered automation for better speed, quality, and efficiency.
* Strengthen technical foundations, including data quality, infrastructure, and frameworks.
* Balance cultural, people, and technology priorities to build an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
We'd Love to Hear from You If You Have:
* Experience creating an environment where engineers feel supported and inspired while delivering innovative solutions.
* Strong understanding of technology platforms from frontend experience delivery to managing complex data sets.
* Collaborative approach to problem‐solving, ideally within a regulated landscape.
* Proven ability to lead technical transformation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (primarily AWS) and modern architecture patterns, with experience influencing architectural decisions.
* Hands‐on experience leading engineering development teams and solutions on a variety of technical stacks.
* Background in cloud‐native DevSecOps practices, IaC, and automated deployment pipelines (e.g., CloudFormation, CDK, GitHub Actions).
* Ability to communicate trade‐offs, risks, and timelines clearly and empathetically, building trust with stakeholders.
* Experience implementing robust engineering quality practices, including automated testing and observability.
* Knowledge of security governance and compliance requirements for data‐intensive applications.
