An established and reputable fabrication business specialising in wear protection and lining solutions is seeking an experienced Welding and Fabrication Supervisor to join its growing team. This is a hands‐on supervisory role suited to someone with strong welding experience who enjoys leading by example on the shop floor.
The Role of a Welding and Fabrication Supervisor:
* Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication and welding operations
* Lead, motivate, and support a team of fabricators and welders
* Carry out hands‐on fabrication and welding work as required
* Ensure all work meets quality standards, specifications, and deadlines
* Promote and maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
* Liaise with management to plan workloads and improve efficiency
Essential Skills & Experience of a Welding and Fabrication Supervisor:
* Strong, proven experience in MIG and MAG welding
* Solid background in fabrication within an industrial or heavy engineering environment
* Experience supervising or mentoring others
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
* Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem‐solving
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience in hard facing / hard face welding
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:45pm
Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm
