Job Overview
Responsible for providing ground maintenance services and safe, efficient operation of mowing machinery to ensure landscaped grounds are maintained according to site schedule and specifications.
Responsibilities
* Mow lawns using ride-on mowers (front deck & Z-trak).
* Remove litter from garden beds and driveways.
* Remove dead branches and leaves.
* Perform routine maintenance on mowing equipment.
* Carry out tasks in a manner that minimizes inconvenience to customers, staff and the general public.
* Place temporary warning signs when required.
* Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and SNT operating procedures.
* Report maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor.
* Understand and comply with quality, safety, health and environmental policies.
* Follow written instructions, verbal direction and procedures to perform work.
* Challenge any instructions that may place anyone or the environment at risk.
* Take personal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people and the environment.
Skills and Experiences
Selection Criteria
Essentials
* Class C Driver's Licence (manual)
* Ability to work under supervision and as a team member.
* A satisfactory National Police Security Check Report.
* Be physically able to perform the duties of the position.
* Be able to perform manual work for long periods outdoors.
Desirable
* Certificate I or equivalent qualification in horticulture.
* Working with Children Card (or be willing to obtain).
