**GemLife is seeking a talented and motivated Area Construction Manager to join our dynamic Commercial Construction Division. In this role, you will oversee construction teams, ensure compliance with quality standards, and drive the successful delivery of our projects. **Key Responsibilities**:
**Construction Management**:
- Monitor construction schedules, timeframes, and performance to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Manage the use and understanding of MS Project, Procore & Therefore software by construction teams.
- Support and provide coaching and training to construction staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure best practices and cost-effective approaches are implemented while maintaining compliance with commercial and technical requirements.
- Monitor the performance of trades and suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality, compliance, and delivery standards.
- Provide feedback on build time reports as required by the National Building Manager.
- Conduct performance management for underperforming supervisors, site managers, or site teams.
- Collaborate with the Design Team to address plan issues or missing details.
- Ensure compliance with GemLife plans, specifications, building regulations, NCC, Australian Standards, and other relevant codes of practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate site setups for new projects.
**Site Management**:
- Oversee the construction of Country Club and other commercial buildings, if required, following the same principles as site managers and supervisors.
- Ensure the consistent use of Procore using the call forward program.
- Uphold the highest quality standards while adhering to required time frames.
**Key Outcomes**:
- Provide guidance and assistance to the construction team to achieve project goals.
- Mentor and support team members in using Procore & MS Project and delivering successful construction outcomes.
- Source trades for sites, if needed, to maintain momentum and project progress.
- Support and empower all team members to perform at their best.
- Provide regular reporting to the National Building Manager.
**Technical Skills**:
- Trade certificate and/or Builders Licence (not essential).
- Financial analysis and negotiation skills.
- Strong product knowledge and project management abilities.
- Budgeting and legislative knowledge.
- Knowledge of OnSite Companion is a bonus.
- Analytical skills and business acumen.
- Proficiency in Procore Companion and computer skills.

This is a full-time, permanent position, and we offer an attractive salary package based on skills and experience. The role can be based on either Gold Coast / Brisbane / or Sunshine Coast, travel is required.
